BATTLE ROYALE II cast - Wild Seven


The cast pages are divided into the following sections:

Note on the names: Names are written American-style (given name first, family name last), contrary to traditional Japanese style. 6/14/03: These names have been corrected and/or confirmed with the publication of BRII:Variations, a book with "official" profiles of the characters.

WILD SEVEN (THE TERRORISTS)
The first seven people listed below are those pictured and identified as "Wild Seven" on the official website. The others are terrorists who are part of the group, but aren't considered the core members

     
Shuya Nanahara
Leader of the terrorist organization "Wild Seven." With a massive bombing attack on Tokyo's Shinjuku district, he and his group declared war on the government that brought about BR, and the adults who support it.
Saki Sakurai
Champion of the most recent Battle Royale program, Saki is the sniper of the group, thanks to her trusty Dragunov rifle. She is the sister of Haruya Sakurai, who turns out to be one of the students forced into BRII.

Tatsuya Fujiwara (Age 20) is reprising his role from the original. His other movie credits include Sabu and Kamen Gakuen. His TV roles include playing the romantic leads in the teen dramas "LxIxVxE" and "Tengoku no Kiss." Natsuki Kato (17) is a popular model and idol. She was "Kamen Rider Femme" in the "Kamen Rider Ryuki" series and starred in the film Gun Crazy 4.
   
Mitsugu Sakai
A founding member of Wild Seven, Mitsugu is seen as the mediator and peacemaker between the members.
Maki Souda
The resident technical wizard of Wild Seven. Her parents had fought in the resistance movement and were murdered as a result, and she now carries on the struggle in their place.
Yuuma Ishigaki (20) previously co-starred with Tatsuya Fujiwara and Chiaki Kuriyama in the movie Kamen Gakuen, a.k.a. Persona. Yoko Maki (20) has several stage, TV, and commercial credits, and appeared in the Japanese movie Drug.
   

Soji Kazama
A previous BR winner. The strong, silent, dangerous type. He's also a skilled sniper, and competes with Saki.
Satoshi Imakire
Satoshi is the eldest of the group, and plays the calm and dignified elder-brother role. His favorite weapons are hand-made rocket launchers.

Mitsuru Murata (25) appeared in the Japanese movies Go, Platonic Sex, and Returner. Toshihiro Wada (25) appeared in the movie Bullet Ballet, and has other stage, music video, and TV credits to his name.
   

Kengo Yonai
A previous BR winner, skilled in the use of knives and bayonets. Acts vicious and dangerous, but to his friends, he is kind and gentle.
Miku Kuga (23) appeared with Fujiwara and Ishigaki in Kamen Gakuen, and was in the movie version of GTO. He was also in All About Lily Chou-Chou and "Mr. Kinpachi of Class 3-B," among other BRII actors.
 
Mai
Was the winner of the Battle Royale the year before Shuya; you may remember her creepy smile and her bloodstained doll. The smile is back. And so is the doll.
