Dolores
Fonzi as Renata
|
The
only daughter of a prominent industrialist, and one
of the participants in the Contest who represents Gallogher
University. Very intelligent, she finished high school
at 16 and got her psychology degree with highest honors
by the time she was 21. At the time of the contest she's
finishing a doctorate in criminal forensic pathology.
She's a "connoisseur" of forensics cases.
She's
also very good at persuading/manipulating people to
achieve her goals and thanks to this ability was able
to convice the other students in the university to agree
to take a secret test to rule most of the students out
of participating in the competition.

Mariano Martinez as Matías
|
He's
the younger son of Juan Carlos Velasco, an official
of the state police and mayor of one of the dependencies
on the outskirts fo the city of Mendoza. His father
managed to make him go to university rather than follow
in his footsteps and enter the police force.
He's
a sociologist and has a degree in philosophy. He's old
fashioned in that he still sticks to books and papers,
and doesn't do as much with computers and technology.
He's different from all the other competitors in the
contest because of his humble beginnings. He's reserved
and restrained, but observes everything, though he keeps
his impressions to himself.
Matías
is into extreme sports and surprises his friends with
his risky activities (skiing, skydiving, etc.). He's
strongly attracted to Renata, but neither of them realizes
it.

Juanita
Viale as Irina |
The
oldest of four daughters of a communications mogul.
Her father made her study engineering so that she can
continue the company. She alternates her proficiency
for the maths and sciences with her passion for literature.
She's very trusting. She's reserved, quiet and timid,
and she channels all this anxiety through food: she's
seriously bulimic.
Despite
being admired by the boys for her great looks, Irina
has hardly had any boyfriends and prizes her virginity,
which she's saving for marriage. She's secretly in love
with Mateo, though she knows her feelings aren't reciprocated.
Her participation in the game makes her feel very conflicted;
whenever she feels she's done wrong, she runs to the
school's chapel to confess and spend hours saying the
rosary. She's the first who'll want to leave this macabre
game and, therefore, the one who's in the most danger.

Nicolas
Pauls as Mateo |
Of
the four Gallogher University students participating
in the contest, the top candidates are Renata, and Mateo,
the son of the Minister of Public Health.
Raised
in luxury, but devoid of sincere feelings, Mateo is
a lawyer and is finishing his doctorate in International
Public Rights. He speaks and writes English, French,
Japanese, Italian, and Russian perfectly, and is a conneoisseur
of the Eastern culture; he's the South American champion
in aikido.
He's
both fascinated by and envious of Renata; she's the
only person he considers his equal (this doesn't come
across to Renata, who feels she's on top of the world).
He's secretly enamored with her. |

Lucas Crespi as Lucas
|
Lucas
is the only son of a renowned sociologist who is also
a graduate professor in the university. Lucas is a young
prodigy and a bright teenager, one of the young, promising
stars of the school.
Behind
his fragile aspect, his childishness, lack of interest
in sex, and studiousness, Lucas is the mastermind who
draws up the group's strategies. He's the one person
with the confidence that he'll make it to the end without
any major problems. He accepts the "game"
that Renata proposes purely for fun, and often, he'll
tend to take the limits of the "game" to more
dangerous territory.
