Rachael Leigh Cook gets Sassy!:
Variety reports that the She's All That and
Josie and the Pussycats star has landed the coveted
titular role in Dreamworks' remake.
Names that had previously been connected to the role in the
rumor mill had included Kristin Kreuk (Smallville),
Laura Prepon (That 70's Show), and Rachael Bella
(The Ring). No word yet on who will play the "Gyeon-Woo"
character. |

Sassy Girl in L.A.?: "YupgiBear," who claims
to work for Six Flags Magic Mountain just outside Los Angeles, writes
in to report that location scouts were in the theme park for the
Sassy Girl remake, which would suggest that the movie might be set
in the Los Angeles area, rather than the New York or Seattle areas
as previously rumored (unless the park is made to generically stand
in for other theme parks). This also might contradict earlier interviews
with producer Roy Lee saying that the "deserter" scene
from the original was changed so that it takes place in a convenience
store rather than an amusement park.
